Get to know me

I am fascinated by how small drivers such as gene expression can effect complex systems like social behaviors. I obtained my Ph.D. in May 2022 in molecular biology with a focus on computational biology and behavioral neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder with Dr. Zoe Donaldson. In my thesis work I used prairie voles, a rodent species that forms pair bonds akin to human spousal relationships, to assess the neurobiological underpinnings of bonding and loss adaptation.
I pride myself on being a mentor for the next generation of scientists and being a responsible ambassador of the sciences for the general public.
Outside of science I enjoy hanging out with my cat, exploring the outdoors, going to live music, tabletop RPGs, and socalizing with friends.

Researcher
I use the socially monogamous prairie vole to understand how the brain adapts to grief
